This push-in filter for ice and water is used in refrigerators to reduce nasty tastes and odours making the water you drink more refreshing. That same filter media is also NSF Standard 42 and 53 Certified to capture industrial chemicals, lead, and cysts among several other pollutants that are sometimes found in water inside homes
The filter should be replaced every 200 gallons or every 6 months whichever occurs first.
